About me.

Daniel
I'm Daniel, an expert generalist with 10 years building complex systems across energy, retail, and manufacturing.

Emerging technology. High-performance simulation. Machine learning pipelines at scale. Enterprise-grade backend services. Each project reinforced the same insight: the best solutions often come from unexpected places.

Now I apply my range to help technology leaders test and build high-uncertainty technical projects.

My background

Before consulting, I've been:

  • The software engineer debugging legacy systems that "worked fine yesterday"
  • The ML engineer fixing models that performed perfectly in notebooks
  • The backend developer inheriting architecture that looks good on a resume
  • The CTO explaining to a board why that rewrite is taking longer than planned

My experiences have shaped my methodology: follow the evidence, do the hard parts first, and prove what works before you scale it.

Why "42futures"?

Those who know "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" will recognize 42 as the answer to the "Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything."

The joke is that the answer is meaningless without the right question. It's a reminder that a vague ask produces a vague answer. Many projects fail by solving the wrong problem well.

That's why every engagement begins with defining precise, measurable success criteria. Get the question right, and the answer follows.

Working together

I'm based in Aarhus, Denmark, and work with clients globally. Engagements typically run 2-8 weeks, focusing on validation and foundation-building before your team takes over.

My approach is transparent and evidence-based. You'll always know what I'm testing, why it matters, and what the results mean for your project.
